A to Z book survey with Tiffany and Ryan

Author you’ve read the most books from:

Tiffany: Kathleen E. Woodiwiss, I've read all her books and I think that's about 13. So yeah, I love this woman.
Ryan: *sigh* This is awkward. Dr. Seuss. Hey, Goodreads told me so. (After that, Nora Roberts, then Kathleen Woodiwiss and Iris Johansen) I know, you asked for 1 author. But mine was a children's author, so I had to add more. O.O

Best Sequel Ever:

Tiffany: I'm going to say No Brainer by AJ Lape, I love me some Darcy!
Ryan: Heh. Does Fire count by Kristen Cashore? I mean, it is a companion book in the same realm..

Currently Reading:

Tiffany: I'm currently reading two books. Kinetic by S.K. Anthony and Baehrly Breathing by Elizabeth A. Reeves.
Ryan: When the World was Flat and We Were in Love. Kind of put it down for a few days since I started back school on Monday. Haven't felt like reading since then.

Drink of Choice While Reading:

Tiffany: When I do drink while reading it's always Sweet Tea. :D I love me some tea. Although I did drink milk once. :D
Ryan: Um. Southern Girl, here. Sweet Tea. Although I have been trying to cut back and drink more Ice water. Warm water is gross.

E-reader or Physical Book?

Tiffany: Let's get Physical, Physical. LOL But seriously I love to smell my books and ereaders are so unpredictable. My Nook Passed away and I have no idea why. I do miss him though. :( Speaking of that, I need to get him fixed.
Ryan: Well, I love Physical books. I love looking at my shelves and actually seeing them there. I love how they look all squished together on all my bookshelves. (: And how they feel. I do use my ereader a lot, too, though. The books are cheaper and some of the books we get for reviews/tours are eBooks.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

Tiffany: Oh Gosh this is so hard and I can't just pick one. I'd date Dylan from No Brainer Finn from Born Wicked and Ben from Unraveling. I'm sure there are more but that's all for now. LOL
Ryan:Lucas from Easy (sigh) and Jordan from Letters to Nowhere (such a sweetheart).

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

Tiffany: The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan. It was my first zombie book so I was a little hesitant, but I' m so glad I read it. I loved it and in now sits on my shelf. :D
Ryan: Dead Living by Glenn Bullion. I mean, it was by a male author I had never heard of, but I am so glad I read it. It was cute and very unique.

Hidden Gem Book:

Tiffany: Blood and Treasure by Jennifer Bray-Weber, I won a book by her in a giveaway and I can't wait to read her other pirate books!!!
Ryan: Is this the same as "G"? Heh. Well...  I am going to cheat again and put more than one book. Sorry, I am a horrible person. *sigh*
Ashes and Ice by Rochelle Maya Callen, Aberrant by Ruth Silver, and A Soul for Chaos by Crista McHugh.

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

Tiffany: I'm not going to lie, I don't really know what this is asking. But I will never forget when I learned about contemporary, which is weird because you all probably been knew about it. I was all about vampire and that was it. Now I read Contemp. all the time as well as other genres I found.
Ryan: Um. ? I guess an important moment in my reading life was... um. er.. Discovering Iris Johansen. Her first book I read was Firestorm. It was paranormal and suspense. Her books introduced me to badass female characters before Urban Fantasy.

Just Finished:

Tiffany: Silver Moon: The Complete Saga by Rebecca A. Rogers
Ryan: I read Antithesis by Kacey VanderKarr last week. I am in a reading slum right now.

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

Tiffany: I won't read book with the MC having sex with two guys at once. IDK but I just can't do it.... and I love a good sex book. ;)
Ryan: Nothing too taboo and no Autobiographies. I need a book with some romance and with the character OVER the age of 16. But not solely erotica. My story needs some substance- not just orgasms and such.

Longest Book You’ve Read:

Tiffany: Silver Moon: The complete Saga So that's 4 books in one and it was 760 pages. Does that count?? If not, the second longest is Stray by Rachel Vincent coming in at 624 pages.
Ryan: K. So, I read A world Apart by David M. Brown and that beast was 822 pages. Never again. lol. That thing took me FOREVER to read. But it was an okay read. O.O so.. long..

Major book hangover because of:

Tiffany: A Cursed Embrace by Cecy Robson, that ending man was heart breaking!!! and I also have to agree with Ryan with Night Blade. Talk about needing therapy after a book. GAH
Ryan: Well. After I read Night blade by J.C. Daniels, I was a complete and utter mess for days. And I cannot wait for Broken Blade!

Number of Bookcases You Own:

Tiffany: I only have two...at the moment. :D Hopefully when I get my own place, I'll get more.
Ryan: Um. I have 3.. but I really really need at least 2 more, because my books are all mashed together like they are all having a literary moshpit. lol

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

Tiffany: Graceling by Kristin Cashore and Ashes in the Wind by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss
Ryan: Haha. Don't say anything, but my answer is the same. *ashamed* Graceling, Ashes in the Wind, and Angel by Johanna Lindsay.

Preferred Place To Read:

Tiffany: It would have to be my bed. It's where I read most of my books. :D
Ryan: On the couch in my room. I snuggle up on the left side and prop my left arm on the arm rest and curl my legs underneath me. Then I go to town.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

Tiffany: I swoon every time I read this quote, "If you cannot breathe, I will breathe for you. If your heart will not beat, mine will beat harder. If you do not live, neither will I." ~Charade by Cambria Hebert
Ryan:I was going through my favorite quotes on Goodreads and I have a lot of quotes I love. lol. A Lot. But um...
"Fuck me and the rest of the world, I was in love"
Lucas from Easy by Tammara Weber

Reading Regret:

Tiffany: The first book that comes to mind is Dark Summer by Lizzy Ford. I've been dying to read this book and I bought it for Kindle for PC and have yet to read it. I mean I've been lusting after this thing and I haven't read it. Something it seriously wrong with me. LOL
Ryan: Well, I always regret when I see the movie before I read the series. This has happened with me with The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter and I feel like I have been cheated out of something wonderful. (don't get me wrong- LOVE the movies. lol) That is why I am avoiding all the movies that are coming out until I read their friggin books. lol

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):

Tiffany: Ok this is another hard one. Ok a series that all the books are already out.... Ok Ok I actually found 2 :D The Strange angel Series by Lilith St. Crow and the Need series by Carrie Jones, at least I think they are done.
Ryan: Wow, there are a few. But I have to go with Rachel Vincent's shifter series. I have read the first 2, but got sidetracked and redirected away from the series with other books. lol... Last year.

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:

Tiffany: hmmm all time favorite, huh. Well I guess that would be Graceling, Ashes in the Wind and it's a tie between Sealed with a Curse and Stray by Rachel Vincent.
Ryan: Oh, wow. Um. Graceling. Um. Ashes in the Wind.. and um. Well, I don't really have any more that stand above all the rest. Well The Assassin's Curse and The Pirate's Wish. I am sorry. I think of those 2 as one book. lol. UGH so hard to pick just 3. But I don't really have an "all time fave" I have not met my book "soul mate" yet.

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

Tiffany: The House of Night Series. I know a lot of people want it to end, but I don't. No way. i love each and everyone of them. I even have a scrapbook with quotes from each book....well more like the prophecies in them. I'm not lying. If you ever want to look inside, just ask and I'll show pics. :D
Ryan: I have not met a fictional guy that has completely blown me out of the water, but I have a few that I love. Lucas from Easy. Noah from Pushing the Limits. Daemon Black (well, doesn't everyone?) Jordan from Letters to Nowhere. Aaron from Dead Living was pretty cool! Dev from the Soulbearer trilogy. Aaand.. I like Sean from the Scorpio Races.

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:

Tiffany: Cursed by Destiny by Cecy Robson and Broken Blade by J.C. Daniels. I'm equally excited for both. ^_^
Ryan: Cress by Melissa Meyer! And The Wizard's Promise by Cassandra Rose Clarke. It does not even have a cover yet, but I need it. I know! I keep cheating and putting more than one answer. I am a horrible person. *sobs*

Worst Bookish Habit:

Tiffany: I don't think I have a habit......what kind of bookish habit is bad??
Ryan: Um. I don't really have one that is dangerous for my books. I use bookmarks. I take the dust jackets off hardcovers while I read them. Okay, I do sometimes shove my reading books in the bottom of my bookbag with my school books- but I do try to align them so they don't get squished...

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:

Tiffany: That would be Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins and my second bookshelf is The Dark Light by Sara Walsh
Ryan:Which shelf? lol. Can I do all 3? ;)
1: Coveted by Shawntelle Madison
2: Tiger's destiny by Colleen houck
3: Maximum Ride: the angel experiment

Your latest book purchase:

Tiffany: Well I bought a lot at the same time but I'll go with Storm by Brigid Kemmerer
Ryan: Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

Tiffany: A Rose in the Storm by Brenda Joyce
Ryan: PODs by Michelle Pickett (good book)

  1. I enjoyed reading you survey. I think I'll come back to it later and pick something to read when I am not so busy with other books and homework.
