{Review} Flight by Alyssa Rose Ivy

Sometimes you just have to take flight.

A summer in New Orleans is exactly what Allie needs before starting college. Accepting her dad’s invitation to work at his hotel offers an escape from her ex-boyfriend and the chance to spend the summer with her best friend. Meeting a guy is the last thing on her mind—until she sees Levi.

Unable to resist the infuriating yet alluring Levi, Allie finds herself at the center of a supernatural society and forced to decide between following the path she has always trusted or saving a city that might just save her.

My Review

Allison, who likes being called Allie, decides that she needs to get away for the summer. So her and her best friend Jess, go to New Orleans to go work for her dad, at a hotel that he just bought. While they are there Allie meets Levi. There attraction to each other is obvious, but Allie won’t admit it. Levi has a secret that he has never told any other girl before Allie. Will he tell Allie and will she accept it? Things get real complicated after one glorious night and Allie can’t handle it. What would you do if someone withheld the truth from you? Will Allie be strong enough to face the truth or will she succumb to the pressure? Her choice could mean the destruction of a city and the one she loves.

I was crying at the end of this book. I don't know if anyone else will but I did. How in the world can you end a book like that? Why Mrs. Ivy, why?!?!?! I can't wait for the next one. It's probably not going to be out until next year. NOOOO!!!! As well as everyone knows, I love a good supernatural book and this is one of them. This book was so unique. I haven’t read anything quite like it, which I liked. I mean really, I’ve never heard of their kind before and it was intriguing to learn about a different kind of supernatural. All the action didn’t start until the end of the book, but I’m sure there is going to be a lot more in the second one. If you want a read that is new and exciting, this is for you.

Allie is a pretty stand up girl. She's nice but not too nice, she get mean if she has to. She doesn’t take any of Levi's crap and that's what I like most about her. She's smart, funny, and has a backbone. I can’t wait to see how she grows in the next book. Oh, and she just made me super mad at the end of the book. What was she THINKING!!!!!!

Levi oh Levi where in the world do I start. I know Levi is going to be a heart throb for a lot of people. He is so flipping HOT!!!! But he is also very frustrating. That just adds to his appeal though. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book with him.

Now let’s talk about the cover. This cover is smoking HOT!!! You can’t deny it, you know it is. What I also about the cover is this scene actually happens in the book. I was like yes, when it was happening. It was a very hot scene and the models do it justice. I love when a cover actually portrays what's in the book. I hope the second book cover is just as hot. ;)
