Catching Jordan by Kenneally

Catching Jordan

 by Miranda Kenneally

What girl doesn't want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn't just surrounded by hot guys, though-she leads them as the captain and quarterback of her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys, and that's just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university. But now there's a new guy in town who threatens her starting position... suddenly she's hoping he'll see her as more than just a teammate.

My thoughts
I finished this book at 4:31 am. i feel like if i actually describe my favorite things in this book, it will be one great big spoiler. i am going to try anyway- without giving away the good parts.
first off, i would like to say that, even though this book was really enjoyable, it was too similar to a trilogy i read a few years back by Catherine Gilbert Murdock. You will have to read the description on goodreads to understand just how similar the story line is. One difference here, though, is that i actually like Ty, even if he was a little messed up. i mean, i didn't love him and his character was a little...how to say this... um. pitiful? At least he wasn't a complete jerk like the love interest in the previous series i mentioned. I love how her family is supportive of her accomplishments in football. I mean, they have their small problems, mainly her dad, but it is completely obvious throughout the story that he just loves her and does not want her to get hurt physically, even if his nonsupport is hurting her emotionally.

romance

i am just going to say this because i can not help it. The girl FINALLY ended up with the guy i wanted her to be with and was rooting for from the BEGINNING. The interest was not completely obvious, but as soon as i picked up on it i was like: YES! HIM! PLEASE GOD HIM! ...because i am a crazy person like that. There was a lot of stupidity between boys and girls and petty fights, but besides that it was a good story and i liked how it ended. who am i kidding, i love who it ended with

I tried not to spoil it too much. Man, i really want to talk about why i love who she ended up with so much!

um. i have to give it a 4 or 4.5. I was tempted to give it 5 just because of who she ended up with, but i will be reasonable. :)

(I am aware this is a book from last year, but i do not want to just review new books. The older books are just as good) 4

  1. LOL, I know those kind of books. The ones you so badly want to write spoilers about but know you shouldn't. You could write a spoiler section, but cut it off with a "read more" part that only shows up if clicked. That way only the people who want the spoilers will read it.
